How can we help?
Answers to the questions people ask most.
How do I add a widget?
iPhone: touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Days Left. Choose Countdown, Up next or Year progress.
Android: open Days Left, go to Settings → Home screen widgets and tap + next to the one you want. You can also touch and hold your home screen and choose Widgets.
The Countdown widget shows your pinned event. If nothing is pinned, it shows the next one coming up.
My reminders aren’t showing up
- Check that notifications are on in Settings → Reminders in the app, and for Days Left in your phone’s settings.
- Make sure the event has at least one reminder selected.
- On some Android phones, battery saving can delay notifications. Setting Days Left’s battery usage to “Unrestricted” helps.
How do I move my events to a new phone?
On your old phone, go to Settings → Export backup and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone (Files, Drive, email). On the new phone, install Days Left, go to Settings → Import backup and pick that file. You can merge it with existing events or replace them.
Is my data synced or backed up automatically?
No. Days Left keeps everything on your device and never uploads it. Export a backup now and then if you want a copy.
Can I count up from a date that has passed?
Yes. Once an event’s date has passed, it shows how many days ago it was, and moves to the Past list.
What do repeats do?
A yearly event, like a birthday, always counts down to its next date and shows which one it is (for example, “58th”). Monthly events, like rent, count down to the next month’s date.
